UNIQLO Philippines has expressed its solidarity with individuals, families, and communities affected by the recent earthquake that struck parts of Southern Philippines, including General Santos City and several areas across Mindanao.

In response to the disaster, the company has partnered with humanitarian organizations to provide immediate assistance aimed at helping affected communities address urgent needs arising from disruptions to power and water services.

Relief Efforts Underway

Working alongside ABS-CBN Foundation and SM Foundation, UNIQLO is supporting relief operations through monetary assistance, clothing donations, and the provision of clean drinking water for impacted residents.

Through its RE.UNIQLO sustainability initiative, the company has allocated:

  • More than 3,000 pre-loved LifeWear items
  • 2,000 AIRism garments

The clothing donations are expected to benefit over 7,000 individuals affected by the earthquake.

Commitment to Recovery Efforts

UNIQLO said it is coordinating closely with its partner organizations to help ensure that assistance reaches affected communities as quickly and efficiently as possible.

“We recognize the challenges that many families and communities are facing following this earthquake. Working together with our partners, we hope to provide timely support and contribute to the ongoing relief and recovery efforts,” said Osamu Ikezoe, Chairman of the Board of Directors and COO of Fast Retailing Philippines, Inc.

As relief operations continue, UNIQLO reaffirmed its commitment to supporting affected communities and expressed hope for their safe recovery and rebuilding efforts.
