14 February 2026 – For 30 lucky couples in Pasig, Valentine’s Day became unforgettable as they not only solemnized their unions at the city’s annual Kasalang Bayan, but were also treated to a live performance by the country’s acclaimed folk-pop band, Ben&Ben.
The nine-piece band surprised the newlyweds with a heartfelt rendition of their latest single, “Duyan,” a song that originated as the wedding vow of frontman Miguel Benjamin. Sharing the song with the couples, the band delivered a message of commitment, encouragement, and unconditional love.
“Every step that we take is made with unconditional love. That serves as our guide and our anchor in this journey, no matter how imperfect life is. This is the message we would like to impart with our song Duyan,” Miguel Benjamin said.
The annual Kasalang Bayan allows residents to celebrate a memorable wedding without financial burden. The Pasig City government covers all ceremony and reception expenses, including meals for six guests per couple. The ceremony was officiated by Mayor Vico Sotto.
Adding to the special occasion, Ben&Ben also performed songs from their Mahiwaga Trilogy, including Araw-Araw and Pagtingin, highlighting the band’s thematic arc on love and romantic relationships. The music video for “Duyan” stars real-life couple Gabbi Garcia and Khalil Ramos, who also appeared in the trilogy’s earlier installments.
“Maraming salamat sa Ben&Ben! Tuwang-tuwa ang mga kinasal. It was an unexpected surprise for the couples, and made this day extra special for them,” Mayor Sotto said.
“Duyan” is now available on all digital music platforms worldwide via Sony Music Entertainment, with its official music video streaming on Ben&Ben’s YouTube channel.
