Watching a movie is always more enjoyable with friends, and Globe gave students across the country exactly that experience through special screenings of Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 5.
In partnership with Disney, Globe gathered student leaders for simultaneous screenings in Bonifacio Global City, Clark, Dasmariñas, and Cebu, turning an afternoon at the cinema into an opportunity for friendship, networking, and community building.
The event brought together officers of student organizations and youth leaders from various colleges and universities, creating a shared space where attendees could reconnect with a beloved film franchise while meeting fellow student changemakers.
For many participants, seeing Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and the rest of the Toy Story characters return to the big screen rekindled childhood memories. More importantly, the film’s themes of friendship, loyalty, and growing up resonated with students as they experienced the movie together.
Beyond the screenings, the event encouraged students to connect outside their own campuses. Conversations that began inside the cinema continued during snack breaks, with many attendees exchanging ideas, building friendships, and expanding their networks with fellow youth leaders.
The fun extended beyond the movie through raffle activities featuring exclusive merchandise and Globe Rewards offers available via the GlobeOne app. Students also explored everyday perks such as beep™ card load, coffee vouchers, food and beverage rewards, and complimentary Timezone credits.
Globe also introduced attendees to the Globe Student Program, an initiative that empowers campus organizations to develop projects that address the needs of their schools and communities. Through the program, students can pitch meaningful initiatives while gaining access to resources, mentorship, and a wider network of partners.
“The stories we remember most are often the ones we experience together. Through moments like these, we hope students not only enjoy a film they grew up with but also discover new friendships, new communities, and opportunities to create positive impact together,” said Roche Vandenberghe, Globe Chief Marketing Officer.
More than just a movie event, the nationwide screenings demonstrated how entertainment can bring people together, spark meaningful conversations, and inspire young leaders to collaborate beyond the classroom.
By combining entertainment, technology, and youth engagement, Globe continues to create experiences that help students build lasting connections while discovering opportunities to make a positive impact in their communities.
