HUAWEI is bringing a new level of smartphone innovation to self-expression with the upcoming HUAWEI nova 16s Series, arriving in the Philippines with prices starting at ₱29,999. The HUAWEI nova 16s Pro leads the lineup with a dual front-camera system built for capturing natural skin tones and detailed selfies across different lighting conditions. Its exclusive Front True-to-Color Camera uses a 1.5MP multispectral sensor and pixel-level spectral perception algorithms to detect ambient color temperatures. According to HUAWEI lab data, the technology improves color accuracy by 120% and spatial resolution by 100,000 times compared with the HUAWEI nova 14.

Paired with a 50MP Ultra Portrait Camera and a 1/2.5-inch sensor, the front-camera system is designed to deliver clearer images, even in dimly lit environments. It also introduces what HUAWEI describes as the industry’s first 0.8x–5x Selfie Zoom, offering flexibility for everything from group selfies to detailed close-ups.

On the rear, a four-camera system features a dedicated Rear True-to-Color Camera that helps maintain natural colors and skin tones across the other lenses. Its centerpiece is a 200MP RYYB Ultra-Large Sensor Main Camera with a 1/1.28-inch sensor and F1.8 aperture, designed to capture more light and retain detail in low-light conditions.

The nova 16s Series also brings AI-powered tools that help users improve photos with less effort. AI Composition provides real-time guidance on lighting, perspective, and subject placement, while AI Move allows users to reposition subjects within a frame. AI Remove clears unwanted people and background clutter, and AI De-Glare reduces distracting reflections in photos taken through glass.

For group shots, AI Best Expression scans multiple captures and selects each person’s best facial expression, helping create a more polished final image.

Beyond photography, the HUAWEI nova 16s Series is designed for users who need reliable performance throughout the day. Its 5G connectivity supports faster uploads and downloads, while optimized network performance helps maintain stable connections in areas with weaker signals.

An upgraded IceBridge Heat Dissipation Architecture supports smoother gameplay and demanding tasks. The devices are also equipped with a 7,000mAh battery and 100W HUAWEI SuperCharge Turbo, which can charge the battery to 40% in just 15 minutes.

The 6.84-inch display features an adaptive 1–120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 6,000 nits, offering smooth visuals and improved readability in bright outdoor conditions.

Sleek Design Built For Everyday Adventures

The HUAWEI nova 16s Pro pairs durability with a distinctive, wave-inspired aesthetic. Its aerospace-grade aluminum mid-frame and Kunlun Glass are designed to withstand everyday wear, with the glass offering 10 times higher drop resistance and five times higher wear resistance than the previous generation, according to HUAWEI.

Despite its durable construction, the Pro measures just 7.1mm thick and weighs 218g. Its frosted AG Glass back resists fingerprints, while the upgraded Twin Star Orbit Ring and soft matte finish create a subtle shimmer inspired by summer skies and rolling waves.

A More Connected Smartphone Experience

Running on EMUI 16, the nova 16s Series features an enhanced Celia AI Assistant that responds to voice commands, answers questions, and helps users book rides hands-free.

It also supports Seamless Cross-OS File Transfer, allowing users to share files and high-resolution photos with Apple devices, including the iPhone, iPad, and MacBook. Through HUAWEI AppGallery, users can access apps such as GCash, BDO, Shopee, and Grab, alongside Google services including Gmail, YouTube, Drive, Meet, and Docs.

Pre-Orders Open October 30

Official pre-orders for the HUAWEI nova 16s Series open on October 30, with limited-time promotional prices of ₱29,999 for the HUAWEI nova 16s and ₱39,999 for the HUAWEI nova 16s Pro. Both prices include a ₱5,000 discount, and all pre-orders come with a premium gift bundle worth up to ₱14,997.

Customers can also take advantage of an exclusive deposit promotion through the official HUAWEI Online Store from October 23 at 10 a.m. to October 29 at 11:59 p.m. A ₱500 deposit entitles buyers to a ₱6,000 discount. Early buyers on Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop can also claim a ₱5,000 voucher, subject to availability and applicable terms.

To celebrate the launch, HUAWEI is inviting users to join the #TrueColorsSelfieChallenge on TikTok, starting October 23.
