Seda Hotels has introduced Roots by Seda, a destination-led initiative designed to help travelers experience local communities, culture, food, and heritage beyond the hotel stay.
The program debuted at Seda Vertis North in Quezon City, marking the brand’s renewed focus on creating meaningful connections between guests and the destinations they visit.
Discovering Quezon City beyond the hotel
Located in the heart of Quezon City, Seda Vertis North served as the launch site for the initiative, offering guests curated experiences that showcase the city’s cultural and historical landmarks.
Participants visited notable destinations including Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar, Quezon Memorial Circle, Bahay Modernismo, and Provenciano, where they explored the heritage, cuisine, and stories that define the city.
Rather than simply offering guided tours, Roots by Seda aims to encourage travelers to engage with the people, traditions, and local businesses that make each destination unique.
Strengthening connections with local communities
Beyond curated excursions, Roots by Seda will establish partnerships with local organizations, artisans, and homegrown businesses across its destinations.
The initiative will introduce community-sourced products, insider recommendations, cultural collaborations, and locally inspired experiences within Seda properties, allowing guests to connect more deeply with each destination.
By integrating these local touchpoints into the hotel experience, Seda hopes to create stays that are more personal, memorable, and rooted in the surrounding community.
A new approach to hospitality
“Travel today is no longer just about where you stay. It’s about how deeply you experience a place,” said Paloma Urquijo Zobel de Ayala, Creative Director of Ayala Land Hospitality.
“With Roots by Seda, we invite our guests to connect more meaningfully with the destinations they visit. Seda has always been part of the communities we call home, and this initiative allows us to bring those connections to life by introducing guests to the local culture, businesses, traditions, and stories that make each destination special,” she added.
Expanding across Seda properties
Roots by Seda reflects Seda Hotels’ evolving hospitality philosophy—one that balances comfort and convenience with authentic local discovery.
Following its launch in Quezon City, the initiative will gradually roll out across Seda properties nationwide, providing guests with curated experiences that celebrate local culture and encourage travelers to experience destinations not just as visitors, but as active participants in each community’s story.
