Building on its success in the retail remittance sector, BCRemit, a Filipino-led global digital remittance company, has expanded its services to 23 countries and announced plans to scale operations with tailored cross-border payment solutions for businesses and freelancers, moving beyond its core focus on overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).
The company is set to launch a suite of services targeting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), Business Process Outsourcings (BPOs), and freelancers, catering to broader migrant markets including India, Mexico, and China.
“Our mission has always been to show that Filipino-led innovation can offer transformative solutions to the world,” said Oliver Calma, Founder and CEO of BCRemit. “By expanding beyond our core community, we aim to serve as a global financial partner built on Filipino values, ready to serve the world’s most dynamic economies.”
Innovations for 2026
BCRemit kicks off 2026 with a new QR-payment collection feature in partnership with Coins.ph, streamlining outbound remittances from the Philippines. This addition complements BCRemit’s existing integrations with major e-wallet platforms, supporting the growing remittance economy, which reached $2.91 billion in November 2025 alone.
Looking ahead, BCRemit envisions evolving into an all-in-one financial platform, introducing products such as loans, e-wallets, stablecoins, and investment solutions.
Since its launch, BCRemit has processed over 1 million transactions, totaling $600 million in transaction value, demonstrating the platform’s capacity for seamless, high-volume cross-border settlements.

Leveraging Blockchain for Faster, Cheaper Transfers
Through a strategic partnership with Circle Internet Financial, BCRemit utilizes blockchain technology and USDC stablecoins to reduce transaction costs to approximately 1%, compared to the global average remittance cost of 6.4%. This infrastructure enables near-instant settlements, bypassing the 3–5 day delays typical of traditional banking channels, ensuring funds reach recipients quickly and securely.
“We built BCRemit inspired by our own family experience with remittance delays,” said Gio Calma, Co-Founder and Director of BCRemit. “For our customers, remittances aren’t just transactions—they’re a lifeline. Our expansion continues to focus on creating a trusted financial gateway that serves Filipinos worldwide.”
Commitment to Compliance and Global Trust
Operating under the regulatory oversight of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC), Banco de España, and the Bank of Canada, BCRemit is committed to maintaining the highest standards of compliance while serving over 10.8 million overseas Filipinos with secure, reliable financial services.
