ARMY (a.k.a. Adorable Representative MC for Youth) have been waiting for months already, counting the days until they can chow down like their idols. McDonald’s has teamed up with superstar South Korean boy group BTS for a collaborative meal—and it will be finally available starting June 18.
The McDonald’s x BTS Meal will feature a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets, medium World Famous Fries, medium Coke, and Sweet Chili and Cajun dipping sauces inspired by recipes from McDonald’s South Korea. BTS is the latest in McDonald’s Famous Order collaboration series (that featured J. Balvin and Travis Scott last year) and the very first to be available globally.
McDonald’s recently kicked off the fun with a show-stopping merchandise line to celebrate the much-anticipated celebrity signature meal. The head-to-toe collection is inspired by some of the ‘craveable’ and hand-picked menu items from the BTS Meal, with dynamite threads like hoodies, purple bathrobes, socks, and sandals.
Whether it’s the McDonald’s fry box logo with seven fries for each BTS member, or the marriage of BTS purple with McDonald’s red and gold, these designs are the perfect representation of an iconic partnership between two fan-favorite brands. The merch line dropped last May 27 and is now available via the Weverse Shop app.
The simply fun doesn’t stop. Along with the merchandise, McDonald’s has launched a commercial featuring the band’s new song, Butter, which has already topped the charts and broken records across YouTube and Spotify. BTS is also collaborating with McDonald’s on “never-before-seen digital surprises” as part of the month-long rollout, including in-app surprises for McDonald’s customers, according to the chain.
So, mark your calendars, ARMY! You can order the BTS Meal in stores via Dine-In, Take-Out, Drive-Thru, and via McDelivery starting on June 18.
