Rising Filipino artist Young Cocoa stakes his claim in the alternative hip-hop scene with the release of his highly anticipated EP, STILL COCOA, under Sony Music Entertainment. The six-track project embraces fresh influences while staying true to the signature chill grooves, hypnotic rhythms, and off-kilter production that first put him on the map.

Produced by Brido, Jayson Franz, Joseph Gregory, Luke April, and newcomer chocolateman, the EP blends fan favorites like “inboxxx,” “Cheap Thrills,” and “Raspberry” with experimental tracks that push the boundaries of alternative music, hip-hop, and bedroom indie.

“STILL COCOA is my way of planting a flag and cementing my lane as a pioneering alt hip-hop artist,” Young Cocoa shares. “This marks an evolution from my previous project, liv, luvv, cocoa, with clearer messaging and a focus on experimenting with sound and production.”

Thematically, the EP is a self-reflection on holding onto youth while confronting the realities of growing older. Lead single “STILL COCOA (fly)” embodies a personal and artistic shift, addressing the pressures of early success while emphasizing self-belief and reclaiming one’s narrative. “I’ve held myself back for so long because many people associated me with one song. This EP is an invitation to follow me on the rest of my journey,” he adds.

Other standout tracks include “WHEN DO I GET OLD?”, a candid take on ageism in the industry, and “flew2bali4ahug,” a personal reflection on growing distant from loved ones.

STILL COCOA is now available on all digital platforms worldwide via Sony Music Entertainment. Fans can celebrate with Young Cocoa at the STILL COCOA EP and Music Video Launch on December 5, 2025, from 6 PM to 10 PM at Shutterspace Studios, Quezon City. Entrance is free.
