Skyro, a digital-first consumer finance group in the Philippines, has been named a finalist in two categories at the Asia FinTech Awards 2026: FinTech of the Year and LendTech of the Year.

The recognition was announced during the Asia FinTech Awards ceremony on August 21 in Singapore, bringing together companies and industry leaders shaping the region’s financial technology landscape.

Skyro’s recognition highlights its focus on developing lending solutions designed around the evolving financial needs of Filipino consumers. Among its innovations is Flexi, an in-app feature that gives customers greater control over their loan payments. Users can move their due date, lower their monthly payment when finances are tight, or pay more to settle their loan faster—all through the app and available instantly.

Unlike traditional processes that may require customers to contact support to make payment adjustments, Flexi puts that control directly in the hands of borrowers. 31% of eligible users activate Flexi, with more than 42,000 adjustments made each month. Around 130,000 customers have used the feature to make at least one change, with 87% rating the experience positively.

By allowing customers to align payments with their income cycles, Flexi aims to help borrowers stay on track while supporting stronger retention and portfolio performance for Skyro.

For co-founders Nasim Aliev and Arsen Liametov, the recognition reinforces the company’s commitment to developing more accessible and customer-focused financial services.

“Being recognized by the Asia FinTech Awards reflects the impact of our efforts to create more flexible and customer-focused lending solutions,” said Aliev.

Liametov added that the recognition motivates Skyro to continue raising the standard for digital lending by giving customers greater control and improving access to responsible financial services.

To date, Skyro has disbursed ₱38 billion in loans, issued more than 2.7 million loans, and reached over 7 million mobile app users, reflecting the growing demand for flexible digital financial solutions in the Philippines.
