Kep West is launching a festive journey from Phnom Penh to Kep’s coastline, a four-day experience that will take place from 28-31 December 2025. The journey, exclusive to Knai Bang Chatt guests, will take guests on a privately chartered train to the Cambodian coastline. The train, reserved for Knai Bang Chatt guests, will evoke the golden age of rail, offering refined elegance and slow travel. The journey will feature white-linen lunches served with fine wine and silver service, allowing guests to enjoy a unique and unforgettable experience.

After this rare and indulgent beginning, the journey continues with three nights at Knai Bang Chatt by Kep West, Cambodia’s iconic coastal sanctuary, where barefoot luxury meets regenerative travel. Across four days, guests are invited to reconnect with nature, community, and themselves — through meaningful cultural experiences, coastal adventures, wellness rituals, and festive celebrations infused with local charm.

The experience begins early on December 28 at Phnom Penh train station. Guests are welcomed with coffee and fresh pastries, before gliding through the Cambodian countryside in private comfort. Onboard, an elegant seafood lunch is prepared and served by the Kep West culinary team, featuring freshly sourced ingredients and paired wines. The ambiance blends the elegance of yesteryear with modern indulgence, offering a chance to slow down and savour the rare luxury of journeying by rail.

Upon arrival at Kep Station, guests are met with traditional tuk-tuks for a breezy ride through the coastal landscape to Knai Bang Chatt, where a welcome of cool towels and sea breeze awaits.  Later that evening, sunset cocktails are served at The Deck, the resort’s rooftop bar overlooking the Gulf of Thailand, accompanied by live festive music. Dinner follows at Crab & Co., where Kep’s med seafood is reimagined through Kep West’s signature culinary style.

Day two begins with optional yoga and guided meditation at sunrise, allowing guests to start the day in stillness. Afterwards, a private boat sets out for a dolphin spotting cruise, where breakfast is served at sea — artisanal breads, juices, and warm coffee against a backdrop of endless blue.

Mid-morning brings an arrival at a remote island, where Marine Conservation Cambodia (MCC) leads guests on a guided exploration of marine ecosystems and restoration efforts. A beach BBQ,  prepared on-site by Kep West chefs, offers a barefoot dining experience under the trees, before turning to Kep by boat for an afternoon of rest or exploration.

On day three, after breakfast at leisure, guests are invited to explore the region’s rich heritage with a guided cultural tour. The itinerary includes visiting colonial-era villas, hilltop pagodas, fragrant pepper plantations, and the vibrant Crab Market, offering a more profound sense of Kep’s history and present.

Lunch is served at The Wave, Kep West’s cliffside restaurant, where local ingredients and global inspiration meet. The afternoon offers an opportunity for spa treatments, sailing lessons, or a quiet moment by the pool.

As the sun sets, guests board a private vessel for a sunset cruise along the coast,  accompanied by canapés and champagne. For those seeking a final flourish, an optional Chef’s  Table Degustation Dinner offers a wine-paired tasting menu celebrating the region’s most exceptional ingredients in a refined, intimate setting.

Return transfers are arranged by car or optional rail for guests heading back to Phnom Penh. For others, there is the choice to extend the journey with Kep West’s End-of-Year Party and New  Year’s Brunch, a joyful celebration complete with live music, flowing cocktails, and the fresh optimism of a new year on the coast.
