Ascott Bonifacio Global City Manila officially welcomed the holiday season with a radiant Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at the Orchard Grand Ballroom. The celebration introduced this year’s festive theme, “Casa Capiz: Lighting the Way Home for the Holidays,” inspired by the property’s Casa Capiz campaign launched mid-2025, which reimagines each stay as a masterpiece of living.

Drawing inspiration from the luminous glow of capiz shells, the evening reflected the warmth of the Filipino Christmas—rooted in togetherness, artistry, and heartfelt hospitality. The occasion also marked Ascott BGC’s 11th anniversary, honoring the property’s milestones and growth over the years. During the program, Rennan John Reyes, Cluster General Manager of The Ascott Limited Philippines and General Manager of Ascott BGC, shared a preview of exciting developments and innovations set for 2026.

Guests—including VIPs, local government officials, corporate partners, and members of the media—were welcomed with festive cocktails and a live harp performance in the elegant lobby. Hosted by singer and TV personality Yanah Laurel, the ceremony’s highlight was the inaugural lighting of a capiz-adorned Christmas tree. The handcrafted ornaments were created by Bataan Shell Craft Trading, featuring the work of skilled artisans from Samal, Bataan, transforming natural materials into timeless pieces of art and décor.

The celebration also spotlighted purpose-driven craftsmanship, with capiz creations displayed throughout the property and offered for purchase at a dedicated booth, allowing guests to support Filipino artisans. Following the countdown, guests enjoyed a festive dinner at the Orchard Ballroom, featuring live performances and a culinary showcase by Scott’s Restaurant Executive Chef Prince Patiño.
As keepsakes, guests received artisanal capiz lamps and Ilocano woven textiles—thoughtful tokens celebrating tradition, craftsmanship, and the warmth of home. Now in its 11th year, Ascott BGC continues to champion hospitality rooted in culture, community, and meaningful celebration.
