Filipino fashion takes center stage in Milan as Fondazione Sozzani, in partnership with the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM), DOST-Philippine Textile Research Institute (DOST-PTRI), Philippine Consulate General in Milan, Philippine Fashion Coalition (PFC), and LIT Fashion Consultancy, presents the second edition of FASHIONPhilippines Milan.
The brand development and exhibition program will culminate in a three-day showcase at Fondazione Sozzani on September 22 to 24, 2026, during Milan Fashion Week S/S 2027. The exhibition will feature 12 Filipino brands, offering an international audience a curated look at the country’s evolving fashion landscape.
The participating brands are Adam Pereyra Jewelry, Bagasáo, Calli, Ched Studio, Idyllic Summers, Iñigo, Jun Escario, Orias, Palengke, Renz Reyes, Viña Romero, and Ziv Rei Alexi.
From Creative Identity To Global Readiness
Ahead of the Milan showcase, participants will undergo intensive brand development sessions led by an eight-member panel of international fashion professionals. The mentors include Sara Sozzani Maino, creative director of Fondazione Sozzani, alongside Silvia Bertocchi, Veronica Bertozzi, Helena Boissonnas, Matteo Del Cherico, Marina Lyrtzi, Marzia Narduzzi, Tetta Ortiz-Matera, and Riccardo Terzo.
Building on lessons from the program’s inaugural edition, this year’s initiative places stronger emphasis on both creativity and business development. New modules cover pricing, line sheet development, market positioning, and international selling strategies, while the sales and showroom component aims to strengthen connections between Filipino brands, international buyers, and distribution channels.
CITEM Executive Director Leah Pulido Ocampo noted that the first edition demonstrated the global potential of Filipino fashion while highlighting the importance of strengthening brands’ readiness for international markets. Philippine Fashion Coalition President Jackie C. Aquino likewise emphasized the importance of treating fashion as both a creative discipline and a business.
The program has already produced international opportunities, with two Filipino brands securing representation from separate Paris-based showrooms following the previous edition.
