The Philippine coconut industry is set to take center stage at the 2026 COCONUT Philippines Trade Fair, bringing together around 300 coconut micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) from across the country from August 26 to 30 at the SMX Convention Center Manila in Pasay City.

More than a showcase of traditional coconut products, the five-day event will highlight how Filipino farmers, entrepreneurs, researchers, government agencies, and industry partners are transforming one of the country’s key agricultural resources into innovative, sustainable, and value-added products.

Organized by the Department of Trade and Industry’s Bureau of Market Development, Promotions, and OTOP (DTI-BMDPO), the fair will feature food and non-food products from various regions. Exhibits will range from familiar coconut-based food products to emerging applications in health and wellness, personal care, home, and lifestyle.

The event will also highlight efforts under the Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan (CFIDP), led by the Philippine Coconut Authority. Participating implementing agencies will showcase programs, services, technologies, research, and initiatives supporting coconut farmers and other industry stakeholders.

Discover the Versatility of Coconut

Visitors can explore several special features throughout the fair, including the CocoBar Café, which will offer innovative coconut-based food and beverages. The CFIDP Selling and Showcase Area and various Product Pavilions will also feature value-added products from participating MSMEs.

Meanwhile, the CFIDP Pavilion and CFIDP Implementing Agencies area will provide information about government programs and opportunities across the coconut value chain.

The exhibition will be complemented by four days of business talks and cooking demonstrations, covering topics ranging from entrepreneurship and product applications to industry knowledge and market trends.

Creating New Business Opportunities

Market development will also take center stage through Business Connect, where participating “cocopreneurs” can meet institutional buyers and potential business partners through targeted business-matching sessions. The initiative aims to turn product exposure into potential orders and long-term commercial relationships.

The 2026 edition builds on the success of last year’s event. The 2025 COCONUT Philippines Trade Fair generated ₱96.9 million in total sales for 213 participating cocopreneurs. This year, participation has expanded to 300 coconut MSMEs, providing more enterprises with opportunities to connect with consumers, buyers, and potential partners.

For visitors, the fair offers an opportunity to see, taste, and experience the growing possibilities of the Philippine coconut industry—from innovative products and technologies to the entrepreneurs and communities behind them.

The 2026 COCONUT Philippines Trade Fair highlights not only the versatility of coconut but also the potential of Filipino enterprises to transform the industry and create new opportunities across the country’s coconut value chain.
