Filipino basketball prospect Andy Gemao took another significant step in his international basketball journey after participating in adidas Eurocamp 2026, the brand’s premier pre-draft development camp held from June 5 to 7 in Treviso, Italy.

Now in its 19th edition, adidas Eurocamp gathered more than 70 athletes, alongside top coaches, NBA and EuroLeague personalities, scouts, media, and fans for three days of competition, skill development, and mentorship.

Widely regarded as one of basketball’s leading international pre-draft showcases, the camp provides young prospects with opportunities to develop their game while gaining exposure before professional and collegiate decision-makers.

Milestone for a Filipino prospect

Gemao’s participation places a Filipino player on one of the sport’s biggest global development platforms.

He earned his invitation after delivering a strong performance at the adidas Tokyo Nations Camp earlier this year, marking another milestone in his partnership with adidas Philippines.

The invitation also follows another major achievement in Gemao’s career—receiving his first NCAA Division I scholarship offer from Penn State, further cementing his status as one of the country’s most promising young basketball talents.

Learning from the game’s best

During the three-day camp, participants took part in live tournament games, team practices, skill development sessions, and mentorship activities led by basketball figures from the NBA and Europe.

The program aims to provide young athletes with opportunities to compete against elite international talent while learning from experienced coaches and industry professionals.

Beyond on-court competition, Eurocamp also serves as a platform where prospects can gain valuable exposure in front of professional scouts and recruiters.

Showcasing the future of basketball

This year’s edition also reflected adidas Basketball’s “Future in Progress” campaign, celebrating the next generation of basketball talent.

Camp participants debuted the exclusive “Gelato” Crazy Energy+ colorway and wore archive-inspired adidas Basketball uniforms designed specifically for the 2026 Eurocamp class.

For Gemao, the experience adds another milestone to a rapidly growing basketball résumé as he continues to pursue opportunities on the international stage while representing Filipino basketball among the world’s rising prospects.
