Asialink Finance Corporation has earned three major recognitions at the 2026 Asian Banking & Finance Retail Banking Awards, highlighting its continued efforts to expand financial access for Filipino entrepreneurs and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
During the awards ceremony held on July 2 at the Sands Expo & Convention Centre in Marina Bay Sands, Singapore, Asialink was named Finance Company of the Year – Philippines for the third time. The company also received the New SME Lending Product of the Year – Philippines award for its Women’s Access to Inclusive Support (WAIS) Loan and secured SME Financial Inclusion Initiative of the Year – Philippines for the fourth consecutive year.
Representing Asialink during the event were Board Director Ruben Lorenzo Lugtu V, President and CEO Anna Katrina Bañez, and Truck Loan General Manager Rufino Gomez Jr.
Asialink recognized for expanding MSME financing
“Receiving these awards is a meaningful affirmation of the work we do every day to bring financing closer to more Filipinos,” said Bañez.
“These recognitions reflect our sustained efforts to address financing gaps faced by MSMEs, particularly those in underserved and provincial communities. For Asialink, growth is not only measured by the number of branches we open or the products we launch. It is measured by the opportunities we help create for MSMEs, families, and communities across the country,” she added.
The recognition for the WAIS Loan underscores Asialink’s commitment to developing financing solutions tailored to underserved sectors, particularly women entrepreneurs who often face limited access to traditional credit.
As of April 2026, the WAIS Loan has supported more than 6,000 women-led MSMEs and released a total of ₱3 billion in loans, demonstrating the company’s efforts to promote inclusive entrepreneurship.
New lending solutions support growing businesses
Building on its expanding portfolio, Asialink also introduced its Medium Enterprise Loan in June 2026. The financing program offers qualified businesses loans of up to ₱100 million with repayment terms of up to seven years, providing funding for business expansion, working capital, and other growth initiatives.
Meanwhile, the company’s fourth straight recognition for SME Financial Inclusion Initiative of the Year reflects its continued expansion nationwide.
Since its establishment in 1997, Asialink has grown its network to more than 255 branches as of March 2026. Between January 2024 and April 2026, the company served over 47,000 MSMEs and clients, representing a 35% increase during the period.
Over the same timeframe, Asialink released a cumulative ₱37 billion in loans nationwide, reinforcing its commitment to making financing more accessible to Filipino entrepreneurs.
“These awards remind us that inclusive finance must remain intentional,” Bañez said. “We will continue to innovate, build partnerships, and strengthen our presence nationwide so that more Filipino entrepreneurs can access the capital they need to move their businesses forward.”
The latest awards further strengthen Asialink Finance’s position as one of the Philippines’ leading financing companies, reflecting its focus on innovation, accessibility, and inclusive growth through financial solutions that support business development and long-term economic progress.
