Garrick Thompson is the Managing Director of FedEx Indonesia, a role he has held since July 2021. Based in Jakarta, he oversees the company’s nationwide operations, with a focus on corporate strategy, operational excellence, and customer experience.
Thompson began his career with FedEx in 2007 as a Human Resources Specialist in New Zealand. He later moved into operations leadership roles in both New Zealand and the Philippines, where he helped drive improvements in service performance and operational efficiency.
Prior to taking on his current position in Indonesia, Thompson served as Senior Manager for Philippines Sales, leading his team through significant revenue growth and customer-base expansion between 2021 and 2022.
His leadership and achievements have also earned him the Five Star Award, FedEx’s highest recognition for exceptional leadership and results.
Thompson holds a Bachelor’s degree in Strategic Management and Human Resources from the University of Waikato, providing a strong foundation for his career spanning human resources, operations, sales, and business leadership.
Beyond his professional responsibilities, Thompson is an avid basketball player, bringing his passion for the sport into his life outside the workplace.
With nearly two decades of experience at FedEx across different markets and functions, Thompson continues to lead the company’s operations in Indonesia while focusing on delivering strong business performance and customer experiences.
