Royal Caribbean has unveiled its 2027–28 season lineup for Spectrum of the Seas, offering an expanded range of cruises across 22 destinations in Asia. The new itineraries span 3- to 11-night voyages, designed to cater to both short escapes and longer, more immersive regional journeys.

The updated deployment includes destinations across East and Southeast Asia, featuring Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, and China. Highlights include winter landscapes in Sapporo (Muroran), Japan; volcanic scenery in Jeju (Seogwipo), South Korea; cultural landmarks in Da Nang (Chan May) and Hue, Vietnam; and major urban hubs such as Busan and Tokyo.

“This new lineup reflects our continued commitment to the China market and our ambition to deliver more diverse and immersive vacations,” said Benjamin Bouldin, President, Royal Caribbean, Greater China. “On Spectrum of the Seas, vacationers can enjoy a wide range of experiences for all ages… designed to meet evolving preferences for deeper connections and more meaningful travel.”

Longer, More Immersive Regional Voyages

The 2027–28 season introduces expanded 8- to 10-night itineraries sailing from Shanghai, Tokyo, and Hong Kong, with select one-way routes between Tokyo and other major ports to offer greater travel flexibility.

Seasonal themed voyages include:

  • Spring Blossom Journeys (May 2027): Routes across China, Japan, and South Korea showcasing seasonal blooms such as wisteria in Fukuoka and hydrangeas in Jeju.
  • Autumn Foliage Escapes (October 2027): Cruises highlighting fall landscapes in Seoul (Incheon) and Sapporo (Muroran).

Selected itineraries also include overnight stays in key cities like Tokyo and Osaka for deeper cultural exploration.

Short Escapes and Holiday Sailings

For shorter getaways, 3- to 4-night cruises from Shanghai and Hong Kong will visit destinations such as Jeju (Seogwipo) and Busan, offering quick island and city breaks.

Longer 5- to 8-night summer sailings will connect travelers to major regional hubs including Seoul, Osaka, Tokyo, and Busan, combining cultural discovery with seasonal leisure experiences.

Royal Caribbean will also operate special holiday sailings during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year. These include itineraries visiting destinations such as Busan, Nagasaki, Fukuoka, and Okinawa, alongside seasonal onboard celebrations and themed experiences.
