The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) is set to host the 2026 DTI–Bagong Pilipinas National Food Fair (NFF) from April 8 to 12 at the Megatrade Halls of SM Megamall. As the country’s premier domestic trade platform, this year’s edition will feature over 320 micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) representing the diverse regional flavors of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

The NFF continues to serve as a strategic vehicle for enterprise development, highlighting the resilience and global competitiveness of Filipino food manufacturers and processors.

Spotlight on the Coconut Industry and Halal Market

In alignment with the Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan (CFIDP), the 2026 Fair will place a special spotlight on the coconut sector. Participating exhibitors will demonstrate the versatility and export potential of coconut-based products, reinforcing its status as a priority agricultural industry.

Furthermore, a dedicated Halal segment will showcase certified and Halal-ready products. This initiative is part of the DTI’s broader strategy to increase the Philippines’ footprint in the global Halal market through rigorous standards compliance and innovative product development.

Empowering Former OFWs and Local Entrepreneurs

A significant highlight of this year’s event is the inclusion of food concepts developed by former Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) who have successfully transitioned into entrepreneurship. Their participation underscores the DTI’s commitment to creating sustainable livelihood opportunities and supporting those who have returned to build businesses in the Philippines.

The DTI Business Connect Lounge

To facilitate long-term growth, the DTI Business Connect Lounge will provide a dedicated space for business matching. This facility aims to bridge the gap between local MSMEs and institutional buyers, such as distributors and major retailers, converting high-level discussions into formal supply agreements.
