Following its highly successful inaugural edition, Nuanu Creative City is proud to announce the return of Art & Bali 2026, scheduled to take place from September 11–13, 2026. Building on last year’s momentum—which hosted over 150 artists and welcomed 10,000 visitors—the fair returns as a boutique international platform designed to bridge the gap between Indonesia’s rich cultural landscape and the global art market.
The 2026 edition will feature an expanded marketplace with 20 premier exhibitors in its main section, further establishing Bali as a world-class destination for contemporary art, thoughtful collecting, and cross-disciplinary dialogue.
A Culturally Grounded Vision
Art & Bali distinguishes itself by moving away from traditional “white cube” fair models, opting instead for a site-specific approach that honors the island’s ceremonial life and material realities.
“Culture isn’t decoration. That’s the whole point,” said Lev Kroll, CEO of Nuanu Creative City. “In a world that sometimes feels like it’s coming apart, art is one of the few things that still brings the right people into the same room.”
Kelsang Dolma, Fair Director, emphasized the fair’s commitment to international standards: “We are not interested in applying an existing model from elsewhere, but in developing one that makes sense here in Bali and can grow with depth and integrity over time.”
Curated Exhibition: The Intersection of Fashion and Craft
For 2026, the fair has appointed renowned sustainability and fashion advocate Bandana Tewari as curator, alongside assistant curator Brina Paska. Their curated exhibition will explore the fluid boundaries between fashion, art, and craft, examining how memory, labor, and adornment inform contemporary practice.
-
Bandana Tewari: A global voice in fashion and sustainability, Tewari brings a lens shaped by long-standing engagement with Asian craft traditions.
-
Brina Paska: An expert in Indonesian textile cultures and local knowledge, Paska provides a curatorial perspective rooted in contemporary Indonesian art.
An Immersive Public Programme

-
