Manila’s street dance community is set to surge with energy as the Red Bull Dance Tour arrives in the Philippines on April 9. Global street dance icons MT Pop, The D-Soraki, Nonoy, and Chrissy Chou will transform the city into a vibrant hub for freestyle culture, joining forces with the country’s own dance legends. From workshops and showcases to the lead-up to the Red Bull Dance Your Style Philippines National Finals at the Bridgetowne Concert Grounds, the tour will spark dynamic collaborations that blend international expertise with local talent.
Fresh from electrifying stops across Asia, the visiting dancers bring the high-energy spirit that defines Red Bull Dance Your Style. More than just a performance stop, Manila becomes a meeting ground where global icons will immerse themselves in the local dance scene alongside Filipino standouts Nemesis, Klockwise, Lema Diaz, and Vince Mendoza. Through sessions, cyphers, and spontaneous freestyle exchanges, dancers will trade techniques, challenge one another, and share insights shaped by years on the global battle circuit.
The tour also opens its doors to the wider dance community. Nonoy, MT Pop, D-Soraki, and Chrissy Chou will lead free workshops and join local dance challenges, offering participants a rare opportunity to learn directly from some of the world’s top freestyle performers. These sessions will dive into musicality, freestyle strategy, and the subtle decisions that can transform a performance into a winning moment on the dance floor.
“I’m excited for these icons to experience the energy of the Filipino dance community. We are a warm and welcoming community, and I know our people are eager to connect with them through dance and movement,” said Nemesis, Red Bull Dance Your Style Philippines 2025 National Champion. She added that learning from global talents not only sharpens technique but also inspires dancers through their mindset, discipline, and artistic foundations.

For MT Pop, Red Bull Dance Your Style 2024 World Champion, the exchange goes beyond performance. He emphasized that street dance is rooted in connection and cultural expression. “Street dance culture is about sharing, connection, and inspiring one another. I hope to share my experiences and perspectives to help dancers grow in their own unique way,” he said.
The Manila stop is expected to both inspire and challenge the local dance community, providing a platform to showcase Filipino talent while pushing creative boundaries. “Exchanges like these are exactly what we need—not just for exposure, but to build genuine relationships with dancers around the world,” Nemesis added.
The momentum from the tour will culminate in the Red Bull Dance Your Style Philippines National Finals on April 11 at 3 PM at the Bridgetowne Concert Grounds. The competition will determine which dancer will represent the Philippines at the World Finals in Zurich, Switzerland. Unlike traditional contests, winners are decided entirely by audience vote, with dancers relying on musicality, freestyle skill, and stage presence to win over the crowd.
“Dancers in the Philippines are raw, passionate, and full of spirit,” MT Pop shared. “I hope they focus on expressing themselves and truly enjoying the moment—because that’s where real brilliance on stage comes from.”
Supported by event partners Army Navy, Hertz, and Mophie, the Red Bull Dance Tour promises an electrifying experience for both dancers and fans. Admission to the National Finals is free upon registration, offering everyone a chance to witness one of the year’s most exciting street dance events.
