Acer has held the top spot in the Philippine laptop market for 20 consecutive years, a run stretching from 2006 to 2025 that the company marked with an official anniversary milestone this week.

The streak is backed by IDC’s Quarterly Personal Computing Device Tracker for Q4 2025, and capped by an all-time high consumer market share of 37.3% in 2025, according to Nielsen-GfK data. Acer leads both the consumer gaming and non-gaming segments, with 40.5% and 36.1% market share respectively.

“We are incredibly proud to have earned the trust of Filipino consumers for twenty years,” said Sue Ong-Lim, Managing Director of Acer Philippines.

The brand attributes its sustained dominance to a wide product portfolio that spans every price point without sacrificing performance. The Aspire series remains a staple for students, while the Nitro line brings high-end gaming specs to a broader audience. At the premium end, the Predator range anchors Acer’s esports presence — reinforced through events like the Asia Pacific Predator League.

Beyond hardware, Acer has invested in cultural relevance, most notably through a partnership with P-pop group SB19, helping the brand connect with younger, digitally native consumers.
