Thai artist James Alyn, formerly one-half of HYBS, has teamed up with London-based pop band PREP for the heartfelt new single “Don’t Worry.” Blending PREP’s smooth mix of soft pop, funk, and soul with James’ warm, emotional vocals, the track creates an intimate, timeless sound designed to comfort and inspire listeners.

“Don’t Worry” was born from a touching fan encounter. “She told me my songs helped her through her darkest times,” James shares. “I wrote this song hoping it could be a beacon of light for others who need it. Just like the line ‘Even in another life, you can find me by your side,’ I’ll always be there for them too.” With soothing vocals, lush synths, and PREP’s signature groove, the single is a gentle reminder to hold onto hope during challenging moments.

The collaboration has a serendipitous backstory. “It was the night I opened for PREP in Taipei,” James recalls. “After the show, we jammed at Kuo from Sunset Rollercoaster’s house, not expecting anything to come of it. A year later, I found a voice memo from that night and built the rest of the song from there.”

Since his HYBS days, James Alyn has evolved into a dynamic solo artist, exploring diverse musical styles while retaining his signature emotional depth. On stage, he captivates audiences with electrifying performances, backed by a long-time band that transforms every show into an immersive experience, leaving fans fully engaged from start to finish.

With “Don’t Worry,” James Alyn and PREP offer a moving reminder of music’s power to connect, console, and uplift, marking another milestone in James’ ever-evolving career.
