Global apparel retailer UNIQLO is bringing nostalgia to fashion with the launch of its newest UT (UNIQLO T-shirt) collaboration, celebrating the beloved digital pet Tamagotchi. The collection will be available starting November 24 and features four women’s T-shirt designs inspired by the charming pixel art of the original 1996 Tamagotchi universe.

To make the launch even more interactive, UNIQLO has also released a special website featuring UT-exclusive mini-games. The playful story follows fan-favorite character Mametchi, who pops out from a Tamagotchi shell and embarks on a quest to collect items and food—all while dressed in UT tees. Players can guide Mametchi through the simple, nostalgic gameplay reminiscent of the original device.

The Tamagotchi UT collection is priced at PHP 790 per design and will be available in all UNIQLO stores nationwide as well as on uniqlo.com.

Each shirt in the lineup highlights a different facet of Tamagotchi’s retro appeal. One design showcases the very first Tamagotchi device, featuring a screen displaying Kuchipatchi in classic pixel form. Another tee pairs a minimalist Tamagotchi chest logo with a colorful lineup of characters—including Ginjirotchi, Kuchipatchi, Mametchi, Mimitchi, and Pochitchi—printed across the back.

Fans of Mametchi will find two designs dedicated to the iconic character. One features a subtle embroidered Mametchi on the front, with playful training-game scenes printed on the back—an homage to those who raised their virtual pets with care. The final design depicts Mametchi alongside a white Tamagotchi, with the back print illustrating the character’s journey from egg to evolution, making it a must-have for longtime enthusiasts.
