2K and Gearbox Software have released the official character short for Amon the Forgeknight, one of the four all-new Vault Hunters in Borderlands 4.
Amon’s backstory is rooted in tragedy. He was raised in a Vault monster-worshipping cult, but when the Vault was opened, the creature within turned on the cultists, leaving Amon as the sole survivor. This event shaped his life’s mission to find and eliminate these beasts. In his character short, “Demons,” Amon recounts a similar encounter with a Vault-obsessed cult.
Borderlands 4 will launch worldwide on September 12, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. The game will also be available on Nintendo Switch 2 starting October 3, 2025.
