Pandawa Agri Indonesia (PAI), a life-science-based agricultural company, has partnered with Malaysian companies NAFAS Agri Services Sdn. Bhd. and FGV Agri Services Sdn. Bhd. to introduce WEED Solut-ioN®, a pesticide reductant, to the rice smallholder ecosystem. The product, designed to reduce pesticide use by up to 50%, will be distributed through government channels and open markets in Malaysia. This partnership aims to promote a healthier, safer, and more sustainable farming environment for over 200,000 rice farmers in Malaysia.

Kukuh Roxa, CEO of Pandawa Agri Indonesia, emphasized, “This collaboration marks a significant stride towards promoting sustainable agriculture in the Southeast Asia region. Together with FGVAS and NASSB, our dedication lies in transforming the agricultural landscape through the introduction of innovative solutions that prioritize environmental friendliness and cost-effectiveness.”

WEED Solut-ioN®, a pesticide reductant introduced by PAI, has been supplied to Indonesian farmers and plantations since 2014. In Indonesia alone, the usage of over 3.5 million liters of this reductant has been recorded across various agricultural sectors.

En. Syamshul Khamal Bin Mohd Ramli, CEO of NASSB, affirmed, “In our role as a Government Solutions Partner, we serve as the primary provider of top-quality agricultural inputs distributed to farmers throughout the region. This collaboration with Pandawa Agri Indonesia, our inaugural partnership with an Indonesian agrochemical company, along with FGVAS, signifies a tangible manifestation of our dedication to advancing environmentally friendly agriculture and maximizing benefits for over 200,000 rice farmers in this nation.”

The introduction of the WEED Solut-ioN® took place during the Seremonial Rapat Agung NAFAS. With oversight of nearly 1 million smallholders involved in various commodities in Malaysia, NASSB is recognized as PAI’s strategic partner in fulfilling its mission of establishing a sustainable agricultural sector.

Kukuh concluded, “This partnership goes beyond the products; it signifies a positive transformation in Malaysia’s agricultural sector. By emphasizing environmentally friendly practices, PAI, FGVAS, and NASSB collectively aim to expedite the transition of Malaysian agriculture towards sustainability, enhance farmer welfare, and promote environmental conservation.”
