Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has launched its first green cocktail workshop globally, including Fairmont Makati in the Philippines, on April 18. In conjunction with Earth Day, the event showcases Fairmont’s commitment to sustainability and its role in achieving Green Globe certification. Fairmont Makati, the pioneer luxury hotel in the Philippines, invites guests to join the shared journey towards a more sustainable future.

Between April 18th and 24th, guests can indulge in various green cocktails at our Fairmont Lounge. Our offerings include Tala, a mild concoction of gin, lemon juice, cucumber basil juice, elderflower syrup, and egg white, garnished with cucumber and basil film; Urduja, a slightly more potent mixture of lambanog, Midori, Malibu rum, lime juice, and pomelo saccharum rum; and Gabriela, a robust cocktail made of gin, green chartreuse, maraschino liqueur, lime juice, and cucumber, garnished with cucumber and amarena cherry gin.

Complementing these offerings, guests can indulge in bar nibbles crafted from locally sourced and repurposed ingredients, such as Banana bacon and charred pineapple bites, Makati honey calamansi peel bites, and Labanos skin pakora with Makati honey dip. These sustainable treats reflect the hotel’s dedication to shaping a brighter tomorrow.

In celebration of Earth Day, Fairmont Makati has partnered with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) as it pledges that 100% of the proceeds from the green cocktails will support WWF’s invaluable conservation efforts.

Furthermore, Fairmont Makati remains steadfast in its commitment to sustainability through various initiatives, including our own water bottling facility, herb garden, honey bee colonies, and more.
