TNT, the wireless arm of PLDT’s Smart Communications, Inc., has extended support for major festivals in Leyte, promoting enhanced network connectivity and special promos. The Sangyaw Festival in Tacloban City and the Pintados Festival in Leyte Province are religious and socio-cultural celebrations highlighting the province’s vibrant cultures and people’s devotion to the Holy Child, Señor Santo Niño.
From music and sports to pageants, art, and religious festivities, the two celebrations filled the month of June with meaning and excitement, highlighting the region’s rich tradition and community spirit. Among the most anticipated events were the Sangyaw Festival of Lights dance competition and the grand ritual showdown of the Pintados Festival.
With the recent expansion of Smart 5G sites in Tacloban City, TNT made it possible for festivalgoers and guests to stay connected and share their unforgettable festival moments as they were happening. The network also deployed sales booths, offering promos and freebies that completed its customers’ TNT Saya Fest experience.
TNT also enabled audience participation in the pageant competitions by powering the text-based voting system, which determined the winners of the TNT Choice Award.
