Manila, Philippines — October 16, 2025 — The inaugural Manila Fashion Week opened to resounding acclaim, marking a milestone moment for Filipino creativity and innovation in fashion. The first evening featured two standout showcases: Andrea Tetangco at the Fashion Tent and Viktor at Samsung Hall, each delivering distinct visions that reflect the depth and diversity of Philippine design.

Andrea Tetangco unveiled an elegant and romantic collection that redefined feminine strength through structure, texture, and timeless silhouettes. “Women have always been at the heart of my creative process,” Tetangco shared. “This collection explores purity and femininity reimagined—dreamy yet grounded, ethereal yet powerful.” Her pieces flowed with grace and quiet confidence, embodying classic Filipina elegance through a modern lens.

At Samsung Hall, design duo Ino Caluza and Will Mueco of Viktor presented a cinematic collection inspired by Blade Runner 2049. The show captured a futuristic, dystopian aesthetic through denim, leather, vegan leather, wool, and locally produced fabrics. “We wanted to show what people might wear in a dystopian world—and of course, they’d still be fashionable,” they said. Staying true to their roots in custom jeans and jackets, Viktor’s presentation highlighted both craftsmanship and contemporary relevance.

Both designers expressed pride in being part of Manila Fashion Week’s first season, seeing it as a platform to showcase Filipino artistry to both local and global audiences.

Running until October 19, Manila Fashion Week 2025 will feature collections from OXGN, Chris Nick, Iñigo, DBTK, Viña Romero, and Randolf, culminating in an afterparty at Samsung Hall.
