As communities across the Philippines grow increasingly dependent on digital access for work, education, livelihood, and essential services, Globe continues to reinforce the infrastructure that keeps people connected—while advancing efforts toward a more resilient and sustainable future. In its 2025 Integrated Report, the company highlights how investments in network modernization, climate action, operational efficiency, and innovation are generating long-term value not only for the business, but also for the communities it serves.

Titled “Foundations for the Future: Building Resilience Through a Connected Nation,” the report underscores how Globe is embedding sustainability into its long-term strategy. As it expands network coverage, improves affordability, and strengthens operational resilience amid climate and business risks, the company also continues aligning with emerging global sustainability disclosure standards while pursuing measurable environmental and social impact.

Building Long-Term Resilience Through Connectivity

For many Filipinos, connectivity has become a daily necessity rather than a luxury. Reliable mobile and internet access enables families to stay connected, supports students in online learning, helps small businesses expand, and provides communities with timely access to emergency information and digital services—especially in geographically isolated areas.

To advance digital inclusion, Globe expanded its 4G coverage to 96.41% of the population in 2025, while continuing to strengthen network access in underserved communities. Alongside wider coverage, the company has also implemented affordability initiatives designed to make connectivity more accessible to more Filipinos.

From 2019 to 2025, the price per gigabyte of Globe’s most widely used mobile data plans declined by nearly 60%, including a further 17% reduction from 2024 to 2025. Home connectivity has also become more affordable, with prepaid fiber rates dropping by 50% from 2022 to 2024, while the lowest postpaid fiber plan was reduced by 75%. At the same time, customers now benefit from internet speeds that are up to four times faster compared to 2022 at the same price point.

As digital connectivity becomes increasingly essential in everyday life, Globe continues to invest in future-ready infrastructure and digital upskilling programs to help Filipinos become safer online, more digitally literate, and better equipped to participate in the digital economy.

Advancing Climate Action and Operational Efficiency

Alongside its connectivity initiatives, Globe is also strengthening its climate action agenda as part of its broader resilience strategy.

In 2025, the company reported a 15% year-on-year reduction in Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions, along with a 9% reduction in Scope 3 emissions, surpassing its annual reduction targets. Renewable energy adoption is also increasing, with 34% of Globe’s total energy consumption now sourced from renewables, keeping the company on track toward its goal of 42% renewable energy usage by 2030.

These efforts are central to Globe’s strategy of building a more resilient network amid rising climate, energy, and economic challenges, while supporting its long-term decarbonization roadmap.

Strengthening Transparency and Sustainability Readiness

The report also highlights Globe’s ongoing efforts to enhance sustainability governance and improve disclosure readiness in line with global standards.

The company has begun aligning with the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) framework, particularly IFRS S2 Climate-related Disclosures, reinforcing its commitment to transparent and comparable sustainability reporting.

In support of broader industry readiness, Globe’s Chief Sustainability and Corporate Communications Officer, Yoly Crisanto, represents the Management Association of the Philippines in the Philippine Sustainability Reporting Council (PSRC). The council works to develop local guidance and assess sustainability disclosure standards issued by the ISSB.

Globe’s Integrated Report also includes externally assured environmental and social metrics, verified greenhouse gas emissions data, and findings from its first Double Materiality Assessment. This framework evaluates both how environmental and social factors affect business performance and how Globe’s operations impact communities and the environment—helping the company better manage risks, identify opportunities, and strengthen long-term value creation.

“Sustainability Guides How We Operate”

“Our responsibility goes beyond delivering connectivity. As digital access becomes more essential in people’s everyday lives, we need to ensure that the way we grow our business also strengthens resilience, creates long-term value, and contributes positively to communities and the environment,” said Yoly Crisanto, Globe’s Chief Sustainability and Corporate Communications Officer.

“Sustainability helps guide how we operate and innovate so we can continue serving Filipinos responsibly while preparing the business for the future,” she added.
