Financing can help businesses move forward, but access to capital is only one part of sustainable growth. Recognizing the importance of financial education and business development, Global Dominion has partnered with the Bayan Family of Foundations (BFF) to make financial education more accessible and engaging for Filipino entrepreneurs through the Ka-partner Academy.

Global Dominion President Samuel Cariño and BFF President Carlo Sagun formalized the partnership on September 22, 2026. The collaboration will strengthen the development of finance and entrepreneurship content for individuals and businesses while supporting broader goals around education, economic growth, and reducing inequalities.

Beyond Financing, Building Entrepreneurs

Designed for Global Dominion’s borrowers, partners, and the wider micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) community, Ka-partner Academy reflects the company’s belief that supporting entrepreneurs goes beyond loan applications and disbursements. The platform provides business development resources and has recently expanded into content-driven campaigns designed to educate entrepreneurs and aspiring business owners through social media.

Research has linked financial literacy and business development training with improved repayment behavior, reduced default risk, and more effective use of borrowed capital. For MSMEs, combining financing with education and community support can help create stronger foundations for long-term business development.

“We finance businesses, while BFF builds entrepreneurs. The Ka-partner Academy is where our missions converge,” said Cariño. “The next generation of Filipino business owners will learn that a ka-partner does not just give you a loan. A ka-partner helps you grow.”

Bringing Education And Community Together

BFF is a Philippine non-stock, non-profit organization focused on social entrepreneurship, education, health, and community development. Its four component foundations—Bayan Academy, Bayan Innovation Group (BIG), Bayan SEARCH, and Bayan EDGE—cover training and curriculum development, research and strategic planning, community capacity building, and impact investing and resource mobilization.

Through the partnership, BFF brings its experience in entrepreneurship training and capacity building to Ka-partner Academy and Global Dominion’s broader MSME community.

“Democratizing financial education cannot be done in just one way or through one format. It has to be multidimensional, multiformat, and collaborative, but always purposive,” said Sagun. “This is the same belief that guides every Bayan program, and it is what makes this partnership with Global Dominion a natural fit.”

Established in 2003, Global Dominion has grown to more than 170 branches and nearly 2,000 employees nationwide, providing financing solutions including real estate financing, car financing, doctors’ loans, and secured business loans. Through Ka-partner Academy, the organizations aim to bring financing, education, and community support closer together for Filipino entrepreneurs.
