FWD Philippines has introduced “Hatid Pinoy: The Orange Ride,” a community initiative designed to ease the daily burden of commuting for Filipinos by offering free rides on select jeepneys and buses.

Starting June 1 at 8:00 AM, commuters can avail of free rides on designated routes during peak hours:

  • Mondays: 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM
  • Fridays: 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM
  • Running until June 30

The program covers key routes such as EDSA Monumento to PITX and Dahlia Fairview to TM Kalaw, providing immediate relief through reduced transportation costs and more manageable daily travel.

“For many Filipinos, commuting is a daily balancing act — managing time, cost, and competing responsibilities,” said Soon Liang Lau, President and CEO of FWD Philippines. “Through Hatid Pinoy, we want to help Filipinos get to where they need to be today, while also supporting them in getting closer to their financial goals.”

Beyond free transport, commuters are also given Financial Confidence Booster cards, which provide simple, accessible guidance on budgeting, protection, and financial planning.

FWD describes the initiative as part of its broader mission to promote financial confidence through everyday, practical touchpoints—combining financial literacy, insurance awareness, and long-term planning support.

The company, which began operations in the Philippines in 2014, continues to position itself as a leading insurer in the country, with strong performance across new business and premium segments, including its top ranking in single premium.

Through “Hatid Pinoy,” FWD aims to reinforce its message that financial confidence is built through small, everyday moments that help Filipinos move forward with greater security and peace of mind.
