The 17th Epson International Pano Awards has announced its 2026 winners, celebrating outstanding panoramic photography from around the world and spotlighting the creative talent emerging from Southeast Asia.

Now in its third consecutive year of joint major sponsorship by Epson Southeast Asia and Epson Australia, the competition continues to give photographers across the region an opportunity to showcase their work alongside exceptional images from the international photography community.

This year’s Southeast Asia Open Photographer of the Year title went to Bangkok-based landscape, fine art, and travel photographer Wutimet Bunyasirisith for his striking image, The Emerald Arch Over Lofoten, Norway. The photograph captures a sweeping arch of the Northern Lights framing a mountain peak, with the vivid display reflected across the waters of a freezing coastline.

Bunyasirisith shared that the image came together when the aurora borealis flared and curved perfectly around the mountain. Because its immense scale could not be captured in a single frame, he created a panorama that revealed the complete arch surrounding the peak.

Celebrating Southeast Asia’s Creative Vision

Siew Jin Kiat, Regional Managing Director of Epson Southeast Asia, highlighted the region’s growing presence in international panoramic photography, noting the passion, vision, and technical discipline demonstrated by its photographers.

Competition Curator David Evans also praised Bunyasirisith’s achievement, emphasizing the artistic vision and technical precision required to capture a complete aurora formation in sub-zero conditions. He added that the continued growth of Southeast Asian entries reflects the region’s ability to push the boundaries of scale and visual storytelling.

Through its sponsorship, Epson continues to support photographers worldwide with imaging solutions designed to bring their work to life. These include Epson SureColor professional photo printers and ultra-slim projectors developed for colour accuracy and archival print durability.
