TP, a global digital business services company, has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) to improve the welfare, protection, and reintegration of repatriated Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), especially those affected by illegal recruitment and human trafficking. The MOA will establish a full-cycle reintegration program, reinforce anti-trafficking policies, and expand employment and skills training access for OFWs. TP will provide job readiness modules, recruitment support, and information campaigns within the MOA framework.
“We are here today to ensure that TP takes this agreement seriously and that all parties may benefit, especially our returning Filipino migrant workers. We can provide them good, stable employment and career opportunities through this agreement,” Johnson said.
Upon their return, this program will encompass the workers’ economic, social, psychological, gender-responsive, and cultural support. According to the MOA, the DMW will identify and endorse eligible OFWs, especially victims of illegal recruitment and/or human trafficking, to TP for training and employment support.
“The DMW is steadfast in its mandate to protect and serve our modern-day heroes, but we know that the government cannot do this alone. Reintegration is not just about providing jobs; it’s about restoring dignity, rebuilding lives, and offering sustainable pathways for OFWs returning home with hopes of starting anew. This is why our partnership with TP is so meaningful. With this agreement, we are creating a gender-responsive full-cycle reintegration program that covers training, upskilling, and, most importantly, fair and decent employment opportunities,” said Asst. Sec. Alcantara.
The MOA requires TP to collaborate with the DMW for AIRTIP information campaigns, orientations, and capacity development training. TP will offer pre-employment upskilling and free training that is aligned with hiring standards. They will also consider DMW-endorsed candidates for local job opportunities and ensure fair labor conditions, including social protection and non-discrimination.
Beyond recruitment, this initiative strengthens TP’s commitment to contribute to the government’s labor welfare efforts and inclusive employment campaigns, fortifying the organization’s consistent Great Place to Work®-certification.
“This partnership goes beyond economic growth; it is about compassion, inclusivity, and community. It is our way of telling every OFW: you are not alone and will never be forgotten. We are proud to walk this path with the DMW and our partners. Together, let us inspire change, empower our OFWs, and help build a stronger nation,” Johnson added.
