BGYO members Gelo, Akira, JL, Mikki, and Nate are taking on new leading-man roles as they explore the exciting, funny, and complicated sides of romance in the microdrama series “Vertical On Demand,” now streaming on the group’s official YouTube channel.
Inspired by songs from BGYO’s latest EP, “On Demand,” which has already surpassed 2.5 million Spotify streams, the ongoing series transforms the group’s music into bite-sized stories about love, dating, relationships, and the unexpected moments that come with falling for someone.
The series opened with “Life’s Too Short,” starring Akira, JL, and Reign Parani. The episode follows Jules (Akira), who finally gathers the courage to confess his feelings to Diane (Reign). With the help of his best friend Red (JL), Jules plans a surprise date in hopes of turning his feelings into something more.
In the second episode, “Mean Girl,” JL and Joy Barcoma bring their comedic chemistry to the screen. Brian (JL) struggles to find the perfect date spot after his girlfriend Trish (Joy) rejects every suggestion he makes, resulting in a series of playful exchanges that highlight the lighter side of relationships.
Gelo and Alexa Ilacad take center stage in “Raindrop,” the third episode. The story follows James (Gelo) and Kai (Alexa) as they celebrate their anniversary and revisit the happy memories they’ve shared. However, beneath the romantic date is an unresolved tension that pushes the couple to confront the state of their relationship.
The latest episode, “Trono,” features Mikki and Nate in a playful battle for love. Both eagerly prepare for their respective dates, only to discover that Kolette Madelo has been playing them both.
Beyond the microdrama series, BGYO recently brought the “On Demand” EP to fans through a mall tour, performing across the country and meeting supporters at SM City Telabastagan, SM City Novaliches, SM City Sto. Tomas, SM City Baguio, SM Southmall, and SM Lanang.
