After 25 years of creating generation-defining OPM anthems, 6cyclemind is celebrating a remarkable musical journey with a special anniversary concert on September 12, 2026, at Eton Centris in Quezon City.

The free concert serves as a homecoming for OPM fans who have followed the band through the years and embraced its accessible yet heartfelt pop-rock sound. With songs that capture everyday Filipino experiences, 6cyclemind has built a lasting connection with listeners and secured its place in the country’s music culture.

Adding to the celebration is a cross-generational lineup of performers, including Gigi de Lana, Bino of Sunkissed Lola, HEY JUNE!, and The Dawn’s Jet Pangan. CLNO, the band formed by former 6cyclemind member Chuck Isidro, will open the show.

For bassist Bobby Cañamo, reaching 25 years represents more than simply celebrating the band’s legacy.

“25 years is such a special milestone kasi mas ramdam namin yung era na natawid ng banda. Also, this time, may opportunity kami i-celebrate yung milestone nang mas grand,” Cañamo shared.

Since forming in the early 2000s, 6cyclemind has released six studio albums and produced songs that have remained part of the OPM landscape. Tracks such as “Sandalan,” “Sige,” “Upside Down,” and “Biglaan” continue to resonate with listeners, taking on new meaning as both the band and its audience have grown through the years.

Drummer Vic Aquino believes the music’s longevity is rooted partly in its relatability—and in the band’s decision to keep performing. Their songs have become part of listeners’ everyday lives, from gigs and videoke sessions to family playlists and casual listening.

Live performances have also remained at the heart of 6cyclemind’s identity. From playing small bars and local events at the beginning of their career, the band eventually took the stage at festivals and major events across the Philippines.

For manager and “sixth member” Darwin Hernandez, every performance continues to feel like a reunion with the audience.

“We were blessed that we were able to build a connection with our audience through our songs,” Hernandez said.

As the band celebrates its 25th year, 6cyclemind is also preparing for what comes next. The group is currently working on a new album, with former member Chuck Isidro taking on production duties.

Now entering its 26th year, 6cyclemind remains committed to making music, performing live, reaching new listeners, and growing alongside the Filipino music community.

“We just want to share our music and be an inspiration to others,” Aquino said. “Gaya nung lyrics, ‘di kami tumigil, itinuloy namin through ups and downs and lineup changes ng members ng banda.”

More than a celebration of the past, the 25th anniversary concert represents a continuation of 6cyclemind’s story—honoring the music and memories that brought the band this far while looking ahead to the next chapter.
