Ayala Malls Manila Bay is expanding its sports offerings with the upcoming launch of Tennis Homecourt, a regulation-standard tennis facility designed to give more Filipinos an accessible space to discover and enjoy the sport.

Developed in partnership with Philippine-based tennis academy Austennis, the new court is set to open later this year. The announcement was made during the Globe Homecourt event at Glorietta, which celebrated Filipino tennis star Alex Eala’s achievements while encouraging more Filipinos to pick up a racket and explore the sport.

“Our hope is that Tennis Homecourt encourages even more people to give the sport a try—to build confidence, make new friends, and discover a lasting love for the game,” said Mariana Zobel de Ayala, Ayala Land Senior Vice President and Head of Leasing and Hospitality.

“At Ayala Malls, we’re proud to build spaces where people gather around shared loves—across all rackets, sports, and passions,” she added.

Building a Community Through Sports

Tennis Homecourt will become the latest addition to Ayala Malls Manila Bay’s growing lineup of permanent sports facilities.

The mall currently houses Table Tennis Homecourt, Taekwondo Homecourt, and a Sports Center that accommodates a range of activities, including basketball, chess, pickleball, fencing, and other emerging sports.

Since its launch in 2023, the Homecourt concept has transformed approximately 7,000 square meters of Ayala Malls Manila Bay into community-driven sports venues.

The facilities have hosted more than 450 daily workshops, weekend tournaments, and mall-led programs, alongside major national and international sporting events.

These have included FIBA and UAAP tournaments, Batang Pinoy, the Philippine National Games, the ASEAN Taekwondo Championships, and the Southeast Asian Fencing Championships.

Making Tennis More Accessible

The addition of Tennis Homecourt further strengthens Ayala Malls Manila Bay’s vision of creating spaces where sports and community come together.

By providing a dedicated, regulation-standard venue, the new facility aims to encourage players of different ages and skill levels to experience tennis—from those picking up a racket for the first time to aspiring athletes looking to develop their skills.

With Tennis Homecourt joining its existing facilities, Ayala Malls Manila Bay continues to expand the concept of the modern mall beyond retail and dining, creating spaces where communities can connect, passions can grow, and emerging talents can find their own home court.
