Bringing the vibrant flavours of Thailand to Boracay, Yím, the modern Thai restaurant at The Lind Boracay, is celebrating its official grand opening following a well-received soft opening. The restaurant introduces a refreshed menu, a new Thai Street Food Buffet, and an expanded dining space designed for relaxed meals and social gatherings.

Leading the kitchen is Chef Siriporn “Joy” Krasaeat, who combines her Thai culinary background and hands-on experience with the best of the Philippines’ fresh local produce. Her approach respects traditional Thai cooking techniques while making thoughtful use of seasonal ingredients to create dishes that capture the country’s distinctive culinary character.

At Yím, every dish celebrates the signature balance of sweet, sour, salty, and spicy flavours that define Thai cuisine. Essential ingredients, including kaffir lime leaves and red chilies, are sourced directly from Thailand to preserve the authenticity of each recipe, while locally available produce adds a fresh island perspective.

“I want every guest to taste real Thailand in each dish,” said Chef Joy. “We use the techniques and flavours I grew up with, and pair them with beautiful Philippine ingredients to bring something authentic and something new to Boracay.”

Authentic Thai Flavours In Every Dish

Since welcoming its first guests, Yím has established itself as a distinctive Thai dining destination on the island, bringing together bold flavours, traditional cooking, and a relaxed tropical setting.

Among the menu highlights is Tom Yum Goong, a fragrant and tangy prawn soup built around lemongrass, lime, and chili. The Gaeng Keaw Wan, a coconut-based green curry, offers gentle heat balanced by Thai basil, while Chef Joy’s Massaman Curry is slow-simmered until the meat is fork-tender, with layers of warm spices and roasted peanuts.

For a lighter option, Pla Nueng Ma Now features whole steamed seabass prepared with garlic, chili, and fresh lime. The menu also evolves with the seasons, allowing the kitchen to showcase ingredients at their best throughout the year.

A Modern Thai Experience By The Sea

Set against the sweeping views of The Lind Boracay’s infinity pool and the sea beyond, Yím offers an inviting setting for different dining occasions. Guests can enjoy the contemporary, air-conditioned interiors or choose the al fresco terrace, where the sea breeze and laid-back island atmosphere complement the experience.

For larger groups, a communal table encourages guests to gather over signature Thai dishes made for sharing. The relaxed and vibrant setting brings people together through good food and conversation.

Adding to the grand opening celebrations is the new Thai Street Food Buffet, inspired by the lively night markets of Bangkok. Guests can explore a rotating selection of grilled skewers, flavorful noodles, fresh spring rolls, and other street food favourites in a casual, social setting. The experience offers diners an opportunity to discover a variety of Thai flavours in one sitting.
