Artificial intelligence is reshaping how Filipino consumers discover brands online, creating new opportunities for businesses to strengthen their digital visibility. According to a 12-month study by Truelogic, mentions of Philippine brands in Google AI Overviews increased more than 23-fold in 2025, even as organic branded traffic across 80 Philippine websites declined by 3% to 8% over the same period.
While the trends occurred in parallel, the study did not establish a direct cause-and-effect relationship between rising AI visibility and declining organic traffic.
Tracking 80 brands across seven sectors, the study found that retail, e-commerce, and real estate recorded the strongest growth in AI visibility. Brands with stronger visibility generally demonstrated high brand search interest, clearly structured content, and well-optimized websites.
“Being found is no longer just about ranking for the right keywords,” said Bernard San Juan III, managing partner of Truelogic. “AI is more likely to surface brands it can understand and trust.” He emphasized the importance of verifiable expertise, content organized around customer questions, and a consistent presence across credible sources, including news coverage, reviews, and social media.
From Traditional SEO To AI-Ready Search
Traditional search engines present users with links to explore, while AI-powered search tools can provide conversational answers, comparisons, and recommendations in a single response. As consumers increasingly turn to these platforms for information, brands must adapt how they present and establish their expertise online.
According to the Digital 2026 report by We Are Social, Meltwater, and GWI, 42.4% of Filipino internet users surveyed said they had used ChatGPT in the previous month, placing the Philippines sixth globally.
The shift highlights the need for businesses to look beyond traditional search engine optimization (SEO). Strong search rankings remain important, but brands must also ensure their content is understandable to AI platforms, their expertise is verifiable, and their information appears consistently across credible channels.
Early Movers Gain Ground In AI Visibility
Truelogic’s client projects reflect the growing importance of AI-driven discovery. Across 40 projects, its clients recorded a 750% increase in AI visibility from January to July 2025, compared with the 400% average growth recorded across Philippine websites during the same period.
Among the clients, a leading Philippine bank achieved the highest AI share of voice within its peer group at 38.1%. A major property developer also secured a 53.38% AI share of voice across Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, and Perplexity—3.8 times higher than its closest competitor.
AI share of voice measures a brand’s share of mentions and citations in AI-generated responses relative to a defined group of competitors. Truelogic withheld the names of the featured clients at their request.
The findings suggest that brand size and legacy alone do not guarantee leadership in AI search. Businesses that invest in authority, well-structured content, and a consistent presence across trusted channels may be better positioned to appear in AI-generated answers and recommendations.
