Ten years after first stepping into the spotlight, Ylona Garcia is revisiting the music and memories that shaped her journey with ylona, so far. (live), a nine-track live album released on October 5, 2026, via Sony Music Entertainment. The project reimagines songs from different stages of her career, offering a more personal perspective on the artist she has become.
More than a collection of live performances, the album reflects Ylona’s growth, from her early years as a young performer to gaining greater confidence and ownership of her artistry. Revisiting these songs also brought back memories of the opportunities she once dreamed of, alongside the challenges of growing up in the public eye.
“It feels like a healing experience, and that means the world to me,” Ylona shares. Looking back, she says the experiences have helped her take greater control of her career and better understand herself as an artist.
Reclaiming Her Story Through Music
The album features live versions of nine songs: “my name is ylona garcia,” “lie so well,” “space,” “dahan dahan dahan lang,” “o pag ibig,” “don’t go changing,” “don’t say goodbye,” “win the fight,” and “entertain me.”
For Ylona, returning to these tracks meant approaching familiar music with a different mindset. While she once focused on meeting expectations and making others happy, she now finds more space to connect with the songs and express her own perspective.
The album’s rollout began with “entertain me (live),” recorded during her 10 Year Manila Exclusive Set at Backyard Live. The performance introduced the project’s central theme of reclaiming her identity and creative direction.
“It became a reminder that people can take things from you, but they can’t take away your heart or your mind,” she says. “That’s what this project represents to me—taking back ownership of my story and who I am as an artist.”
Fans can also look forward to performance videos from the Manila set, which will be released on Ylona’s YouTube channel, offering another way to experience the live arrangements and the milestone performance.
A Full-Circle Reunion And A Decade Of Memories
One of the album’s standout moments is “o pag ibig (live),” featuring Bailey May. Reuniting onstage after years apart, the two revisited a song connected to their early careers, bringing a decade of new experiences to a familiar performance.
“Performing ‘O Pag-Ibig’ together honestly felt like no time had passed at all,” Ylona recalls.
At its heart, ylona, so far. (live) celebrates the stage as the place where Ylona developed as a performer. By returning to the songs that accompanied her journey, she honors both the younger artist fans first came to know and the person she has grown into.
“I think these live versions capture all of who I am,” she says.
The album is available worldwide on digital music platforms via Sony Music Entertainment.
