Filipino music takes center stage this Sunday, August 30, as 10 original songs compete in the “Philippine Selection Night,” which will determine the country’s official representative to the Eurovision Song Contest Asia 2026.
Hosted by Vice Ganda, the live musical showdown begins at 9:45 PM and will stream for free on iWant. Viewers can also watch on ABS-CBN sa ALLTV2, A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, and Kapamilya Onlive Live, while overseas audiences can tune in through TFC. MYX will air a delayed telecast.
The competing entries will be performed by a diverse lineup of Filipino artists, including P-pop groups DNA, AJAA, and VVINK with WRIVE Russu, as well as Elha Nympha, Esang de Torres, Lance Reblando, Nar Cabico, Jason Dy, Sassa Dagdag, Ryssi Avila, KHIMO, Carmelle, and others.
Among the entries are “Between Bituin,” “Broken Beyond Repair,” “Cheri(e),” “Di Yan (Red Flag),” “Good For You,” “Make It Exist,” “Mapadama,” “Reason to Live,” “Round N’ Round,” and “Sobra-Sobra.”
The winner will be determined through a combination of 40% jury votes, 40% votes from viewers in the Philippines, and 20% votes from international viewers.
The winning act will represent the Philippines at the Eurovision Song Contest Asia 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand, on November 14, giving Filipino music and storytelling a chance to reach audiences across the region.
As the inaugural Asian edition of the international television music competition, Eurovision Song Contest Asia aims to bring the Eurovision format to a wider Asian audience while providing artists with a global platform to showcase their unique sound and stories.
