Art & Bali has announced the 22 exhibitors participating in its 2026 international art fair, set to take place from September 11 to 13 at Nuanu Creative City in Bali, bringing together galleries, artist collectives, cultural institutions, and multidisciplinary spaces from across Indonesia and the region.
Rooted in Indonesia’s vibrant art scene, this year’s lineup features exhibitors from Bali, Jakarta, Bandung, Yogyakarta, and Malang, alongside participants from Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, as well as cross-border platforms connecting Indonesia with Spain and Switzerland.
The fair will showcase an eclectic mix of established galleries, independent art spaces, printmaking initiatives, and multidisciplinary studios, highlighting the diversity of contemporary artistic practices across Southeast Asia.
Participating exhibitors include Agung Rai Museum of Art (ARMA), Asia Pacific Print Club, Batu Belah Art Space, Connected Art Platform, G13 Gallery, Gallery Seputih, Grey Gallery, Gurat Institute, Kotak Art Collective, LANÖ Art Project, Mabiang Seni, Miwa, Muse, Philo Art Space, Pintu Saren, RUANG//, Ruang Arta Derau (RAD), Sangkring, Santrian Art Gallery, Studio Dinding Luar, Superlative Gallery, and TONYRAKA.
“Art & Bali is being built as a meeting point for artists, galleries, collectors, and audiences,” said Kelsang Dolma, Director of Art & Bali by Nuanu Creative City.
“This year’s lineup reflects the fair’s deliberate boutique approach. We want it to grow through the quality of the work presented, the strength of the conversations around it, and the relationships that come from it, rather than through scale alone. Nuanu gives us the space and cultural infrastructure to do this properly, across exhibitions, public programmes, and collector experiences, while strengthening Bali’s place as a destination for art, design, and culture.”
Flagship exhibition explores memory, craft, and cultural exchange
Running alongside the fair is Nuanu Creative City’s annual flagship exhibition, What the Body Remembers, opening on September 11 at Labyrinth Art Gallery and remaining on view until November 29, 2026.
Curated by Bandana Tewari, with Brina Paska serving as assistant curator, the exhibition features 26 artists, designers, and studios from Indonesia and India working across contemporary art, fashion, textiles, craft, design, and material culture.
Structured around the curatorial themes Hand as Archive and Routes of Exchange, the exhibition examines how memory, identity, and cultural knowledge are preserved through craftsmanship, ritual, inherited techniques, and the movement of people and materials across generations and borders.
The participating artists and studios represent a wide range of creative disciplines, from couture and embroidery to weaving, botanical dyeing, slow fashion, and community-based production, highlighting the enduring connections between Indonesian and Indian traditions of craftsmanship.
Bridging art, culture, and sustainability
Held under the theme “Bridging Dichotomies,” Art & Bali 2026 explores the intersections of art and commerce, tradition and experimentation, and local practice and international exchange.
Beyond the exhibitor showcases, the fair will feature exhibitions, installations, design presentations, performances, craft demonstrations, and public discussions throughout Nuanu Creative City, creating opportunities for collectors, artists, designers, architects, hospitality professionals, and cultural practitioners to connect.
Sustainability also remains central to the fair’s production. High-density moisture-resistant (HMR) panels used to construct booths during the 2025 edition are being repurposed for this year’s event, reducing construction waste and demonstrating a more responsible approach to temporary exhibition infrastructure.
As Bali continues to strengthen its reputation as a global creative destination, Art & Bali aims to foster deeper connections between the island’s artistic community, Indonesia’s broader cultural landscape, and the international art world, while helping participating artists and galleries reach new audiences and collectors.
Art & Bali 2026 will be held from September 11 to 13 at Nuanu Creative City in Bali, while What the Body Remembers will remain on display at Labyrinth Art Gallery through November 29, 2026.
