Robinsons Roxas and Robinsons Antique have been recognized by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Region VI for their contributions to environmental conservation and sustainable development during the Philippine Environment Month 2026 celebration.
The two malls received the recognition during the Gawad Kaagapay ng Kalikasan 2026 Recognition Ceremony, highlighting their continued partnership with DENR in implementing environmental protection programs across Western Visayas.
Supporting cleaner waterways and communities
The recognition underscores the malls’ active participation in the Adopt-an-Estero/Water Body Program, a DENR initiative that promotes cleaner waterways, responsible waste management, and stronger community involvement in environmental conservation.
As part of the program, Robinsons Antique conducts quarterly clean-up drives along its adopted area at the NAIA Canal in Sibalom, Antique.
Volunteers from the mall’s Operations, Security, Engineering, Housekeeping, and Robinsons Land teams work together to remove waste, segregate recyclable materials, clear overgrown vegetation, and help reduce mosquito breeding sites while improving the condition of local waterways.
Environmental programs beyond mall operations
Meanwhile, Robinsons Roxas continues to support various DENR-led initiatives through regular participation in clean-up drives, tree-growing activities, and responsible waste management programs.
The mall also serves as a venue for environmental advocacy campaigns, public information activities, and community engagement programs aimed at promoting sustainability among local residents.
Sustainability across Robinsons Malls
The recognition reflects Robinsons Malls’ broader sustainability strategy across its nationwide portfolio.
The company integrates environmentally responsible practices into the design, operation, and management of its developments through initiatives such as renewable energy adoption, resource-efficient operations, responsible waste management, green mobility programs, and community-based environmental projects.
These efforts support Robinsons Malls’ commitment to creating long-term environmental, social, and economic value while contributing to the country’s sustainability goals.
The awards from DENR Region VI reaffirm Robinsons Malls’ commitment to working with government agencies, local communities, and environmental partners to help build cleaner, greener, and more resilient communities across the Philippines.
