Japanese model, television personality, and entertainer YUKIPOYO has officially released her latest single, “Te-Te Gyaru,” on major music streaming platforms worldwide, while also announcing an upcoming collaboration with rising Filipino rapper Zae.

The international crossover project will feature “Te-Te Gyaru (feat. Zae) [Tagalog Ver.],” with both artists currently in Manila filming the music video ahead of the remix’s official release.

Filipino rapper Zae joins cross-border collaboration

The collaboration marks another milestone for Zae, one of the fastest-rising names in Philippine hip-hop.

The Pinay rapper has amassed more than 580,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, earning recognition for her energetic flow and growing influence in the local rap scene. She also received a nomination for Hip-Hop Song of the Year at the inaugural Filipino Music Awards 2025 for her collaboration with Hev Abi on “SUBOMOTO REMIX.”

The upcoming Tagalog remix brings together two artists from different music scenes, highlighting the increasing collaborations between Japanese and Filipino performers.

A bold new anthem

Produced by Tokyo-based hitmaker XLII, “Te-Te Gyaru” delivers an energetic mix of urban pop, hip-hop, and electronic influences.

Known for collaborating with artists such as MINMI, Yayoi Daimon, Watson, Akko Gorilla, and Reichi, XLII crafts a soundscape filled with unconventional textures, hard-hitting beats, and dynamic production that complements YUKIPOYO’s confident rap delivery.

The song embraces the bold spirit of modern gal culture, with YUKIPOYO showcasing herself not only as a fashion icon but also as a versatile performer willing to push creative boundaries through music and style.

Viral momentum before release

Even before its official launch, “Te-Te Gyaru” generated significant buzz across social media.

Preview clips accumulated a combined more than 4 million views on TikTok and 1.52 million views on Instagram, while promotional content also attracted nearly 92,000 likes on X (formerly Twitter) shortly after being posted.

The strong online response reflects YUKIPOYO’s growing influence among younger audiences and the continued evolution of Japan’s Reiwa-era gal culture.
