At COMPUTEX 2026, data infrastructure company Synology unveiled a broad lineup of new solutions spanning storage, data protection, surveillance, and AI-enabled collaboration tools—positioning data control and security as central priorities in the AI era.

According to Chairman and CEO Philip Wong, the company’s focus remains on building systems grounded in “trust, security, reliability, and privacy” as organizations increasingly adopt AI in daily operations.

Next-Generation DSM Built for AI and Enterprise Use

A major highlight is the next generation of DiskStation Manager (DSM), designed to support both enterprise workloads and AI-ready infrastructure.

Key features include:

  • GPU NAS and AI appliance support for on-premises AI inference
  • Cluster Manager for unified multi-system control
  • Workload migration and centralized protection tools
  • Enhanced Active Insight mass deployment for multi-site provisioning
  • Upgraded Log Center for improved security and compliance monitoring

These updates are aimed at giving organizations more control over data governance while scaling infrastructure efficiently.

ActiveProtect 2.0 Expands Cloud and Virtual Coverage

The updated ActiveProtect Manager 2.0 extends protection across hybrid environments, including:

  • AWS EC2
  • Microsoft Azure VM
  • Proxmox and Nutanix AHV
  • Google Workspace

It also introduces AI-powered anomaly and malware detection, enabling earlier threat identification and faster response across cloud and SaaS ecosystems.

A new enterprise device, the DP5200, further expands Synology’s backup and protection lineup.

Upgraded Surveillance and AI Monitoring Systems

Synology also expanded its surveillance ecosystem with new hardware and AI capabilities:

  • AC100 door controller and AR Series readers for access control
  • New DC Series dome cameras
  • DVA appliances with AI video analytics

The updated Deep Video Analytics (DVA) tools allow security teams to:

  • Search video footage faster
  • Track individuals across multiple cameras

The Surveillance365 platform integrates cloud and on-premises monitoring into a unified system for businesses.

Synology Office Suite Adds AI Communication Tools

The Synology Office Suite is also expanding with new collaboration features:

  • ChatPlus and Meet for enterprise communication
  • AI-powered transcription and translation
  • Granular data permissions and internal governance controls

These tools are designed to improve productivity while keeping sensitive communication data within company-controlled environments.

BeeStation Expands Private Cloud for Consumers

On the consumer side, Synology is enhancing its BeeStation ecosystem with:

  • Expanded storage tiers (BeeStation and BeeStation Plus)
  • BeeCamera for home monitoring integration
  • Deep Search AI for local file search on macOS and Windows

These features focus on privacy-first personal cloud storage with AI-assisted organization and search.
