The Shell National Students Art Competition (NSAC), the Philippines’ longest-running student art competition, is back for its 59th edition with the theme “SULYAP.”

For nearly six decades, NSAC has served as a platform for artistic growth and creative expression, helping generations of young Filipino artists develop their craft and share their perspectives with a wider audience. More than a competition, it has become a vital avenue for discovering emerging talent and supporting the country’s evolving creative landscape.

This year’s theme, SULYAP, invites participants to look beyond passing moments and take a deeper, more reflective view of the realities, emotions, and experiences that shape their understanding of the world today.

Through their artworks, students are encouraged to tell stories that capture both personal journeys and collective Filipino experiences. The competition aims to inspire young creatives to express their identity, values, and purpose through authentic and meaningful artistic works.

The competition is open to all currently enrolled college students in the Philippines. Eligible participants must be taking at least nine academic units during Academic Year 2025–2026, or be graduates of AY 2025–2026 who were enrolled at the time their artwork was created.
