AirAsia Philippines is targeting Gen Z and Millennials’ preference for traveling with significant others, partners, and family members to boost the travel industry in 2024. A recent international survey showed that 9 out of 10 passengers aged 18-43 prefer traveling with loved ones for more memorable experiences. In January, AirAsia Philippines flew over 600,000 guests, with Gen Zs comprising 34% and Millennials 58%.

Meanwhile, forward bookings for the months of February, March, April, and May for island destinations Boracay, Cebu, Bohol, and Puerto Princesa and international destinations Taipei, Incheon, Osaka, and Narita continue to increase at 700,000 seats as of 1 February. Of all demographics who booked for these 8 destinations alone, 14% are Gen Z and 13% are Millennials.
