Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League – Philippines (MPL-PH) and Mobile Legends: Bang Development League – Philippines (MDL-PH) launch dates have been announced. MDL-PH Season 2 will start on 29 August 2023, featuring new teams and players, while MPL-PH Season 12 will begin on 8 September 2023, showcasing fiercer competition among the country’s strongest teams.

The latest seasons aim to test Filipino teams’ strength after losses in previous MLBB esports tournaments. The season will be historic with surprising roster updates, new emblem system, and iconic players return for MPL and MDL Philippines. MOONTON Games Marketing Lead for Esports Harry Leonardo believes that the Philippines remains the strongest region, especially with the upcoming M5 World Championship in December.

MPL-PH Season 12: Mas Pinas-Lakas!

MPL-PH Season 12 will once again welcome offline spectators on-ground. This time, the tournament will open its gates to 500 daily spectators who can watch the matches and see their idols live. They can purchase their tickets via https://slashevent.com/ and choose from the following options:

Offline viewers can get rewards by completing the tasks found on MPL-PH Activity Passport. Moreover, they will be able to purchase merch items from their favorite teams on-ground through MPL-PH Team Spotlight wherein two teams per week will set up their booth for fans. 

The 12th MPL-PH tournament will feature a six-week schedule, new rosters, a revamped emblem system, innovative strategies, and comeback players. Notable roster changes include the return of Hall of Legends inductee CJ “Ribo” Ribo and Joshua “Ch4knu” Mangilog to join Smart Omega, showcasing the competitive scene’s most decorated players in MLBB esports’ history.

Blacklist International’s Johnmar Villaluna and Danerie Del Rosario will take a break for Season 12, while Bren Esports will remain in the SEA Games 2023 lineup. ECHO will maintain its main five and MSC 2023 lineup. MINANA EVOS will field ten players, with Jeniel “YellyHaze” Bata-Anon as coach. RSG PH has appointed John “Irrad” Abarquez as full-time jungler, while TNC Pro Team will have a 6-man lineup led by Ben “Benthings” Maglaque. ONIC PH will be led by Escalera. The league will also offer community programs like MPL-PH Battle Trips.

MPL-PH will also introduce a new Hall of Legends personality and announce changes to the award selection process. MPL Philippines Season 12 match replays can be streamed on PIE Channel for free from Mondays to Fridays. Smart is the official tournament telco partner, FWD Life Insurance Philippines is the official insurer, and Infinix is the mobile partner. MDL S2 Main KV Biggest MLBB E-sports tournaments in PH Returns

MDL Philippines, MPL-PH’s brother league for semi-professional players just got bigger with more teams joining. A total of 12 aspiring squads will participate in discovering and unleashing their potential in the world of MLBB Esports. The teams are Euphoria Esports, GameLab, MHRLK Esports, RRQ Kaito, RSG Mistah, TNC Z4, ONIC Arsenals, SMART Omega Neos, ECHO Proud, Minana Archives, AP Hornets and Blacklist Academy LTX.

The matches are scheduled from Tuesdays to Thursdays starting 29 August until 5 October 2023. First matches of the day are scheduled every 12 noon. The opener will feature Season 1 finalists GameLab and ECHO Proud. Viewers will witness how player transfers between MDL-PH and MPL-PH will be a key factor in leveling up the competition in the two leagues. The transfers to MPL-PH aim to give aspiring MDL players a platform to make a name for themselves and showcase their strength in the world of MLBB esports.
