The Minister of Health of Brunei, the Honorable Dato Seri Setia Dr. Haji Md Isham bin Haji Jaafar, went to Far Eastern University to work on a nursing program with Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC) and Darussalam Assets. JPMC College of Health Sciences is Brunei’s first private college for health care (JCHS).

The recent visit further explored FEU’s Nursing curriculum and facilities, as well as its learning modalities in the post-pandemic education setup to strengthen JCHS’s Nursing program. Prior the Brunei Minister of Health’s visit, other delegates from JPMC also toured FEU Manila, FEU Alabang and its industry partners St. Luke’s Medical Center in Bonifacio Global City and Asian Hospital and Medical Center in Mandaluyong City to observe the internship program of its nursing students and to expand their knowledge on the country’s health industry.

JCHS opened the first school term this October 2022 to students based in Brunei. Through this joint venture, it aims to produce globally competent nurses and medical leaders to address the growing demand in the healthcare sector.
