Procter & Gamble (P&G) Philippines, the trusted consumer goods company with superior products that promote health and hygiene, is supporting the communities affected by the recent oil spill in Mindoro by donating over Php 6M worth of P&G products that not only promote health and hygiene but also provide support to recover their livelihood materials.

The Mindoro oil spill came from a tanker carrying at least 800,000 liters of industrial fuel when it sank in the waters of Naujan town on February 28, 2023. This has impacted 167 barangays and 75,000 families, posing risks to their health and disrupting their livelihoods for an extended period of time.

As a company committed to being a Force for Growth and Force for Good in the Philippines, P&G donated branded products to address the basic needs of the impacted families, providing essential personal care and hygiene products such as Safeguard body soaps, Pantene and Head & Shoulders shampoos, Joy dishwashing liquids, and laundry products such as Ariel and Tide.

“We thank P&G Philippines for their generous donation. These products will not only provide immediate relief but also contribute to the long-term recovery and resilience of the affected communities in our province. We deeply appreciate their commitment to our community and their dedication to providing a sense of normalcy during tough times like this,” said Oriental Mindoro Governor Humerlito Dolor.

P&G remains committed to being a Force for Growth and Force for Good in the Philippines, especially during challenging times. This donation underscores the company’s commitment and further establishes P&G as a consistent partner of the country through its business, investments, and superior products that promote health and hygiene.
