Wynn is taking the Wynn Signature Chinese Wine Awards beyond Macao for the first time, with Beijing set to host the competition’s 2027 Judging Week from August 21 to 25. The event will culminate in the annual Awards Ceremony in Macao on October 29, 2027, marking a new chapter for the international competition dedicated to China’s wine industry.
The full-year calendar and promotional roadmap for the 2027 awards will be unveiled on November 9, 2026, with entries and wine sample submissions opening on March 1, 2027.
Now entering its fourth edition, the competition has grown since its debut in 2024 into a platform combining wine education, industry exchange, rigorous judging standards, and international promotion. By moving Judging Week to Beijing, Wynn aims to give international judges a deeper experience of China’s wine regions, culinary traditions, and cultural heritage.
Rather than simply evaluating Chinese wines, the judges will have the opportunity to explore the stories behind the country’s terroir and the communities that shape its wine industry, helping bring greater international attention to Chinese winemaking.
Wynn Signature Chinese Wine Awards Wins Diamond SABRE Award
The competition’s growing international profile received further recognition in August, when it became the sole recipient of the Diamond SABRE Award in the Brand Building category at the 2026 SABRE Awards Asia-Pacific. It was also one of only seven Diamond Award recipients selected from more than 2,000 entries across the region.
The SABRE Awards, which recognize achievements in branding, reputation, and engagement, are among the Asia-Pacific region’s prominent honors in brand communications and public relations.
The accolade recognizes Wynn’s efforts to promote Chinese wine and cultural experiences internationally, while reinforcing the awards’ role in elevating China’s wine industry and supporting Macao’s position as a leading gastronomy and tourism destination.
Bringing Award-Winning Chinese Wines To New Audiences
Following the 2026 Awards Ceremony, Wynn has expanded its promotional activities through partnerships with media organizations, industry networks, and leading dining establishments to introduce award-winning Chinese wines to wider audiences.
On August 14 in Shanghai, Wynn served as Lead Partner for the 2026 Fine Dining Investment Forum, hosted by Jiemian News of Shanghai United Media Group. Its dedicated booth featured three award-winning wines from the competition, while Executive Chef Kevin Zhu of Lakeview Palace at Wynn Palace participated in the forum’s “12-Hands Collaboration Dinner.” Wynn also presented an award-winning wine to more than 100 dining investors, restaurateurs, industry professionals, and media guests.
On September 7 and 8, Executive Chef Tam Kwok Fung of Chef Tam’s Seasons at Wynn Palace collaborated with Head Chef Reina Chen of Fumée in Shenzhen for the “Symphony of Terroir & Seasons” wine-pairing dinner. The event paired seasonal cuisine with award-winning Chinese wines, highlighting their potential in contemporary fine dining.
Wynn also contributed to the development of wine tourism in Yunnan Province. On September 29, the company joined the launch of the Meili Snow Mountain Boutique Wine Tourism Route, organized during the 2026 Deqin-Meili Snow Mountain 12th Xianzi Cultural Arts Festival. Working through the Wynn Signature Chinese Wine Awards, Wynn helped develop a tourism route map for the Deqin County Bureau of Culture and Tourism, connecting representative wineries, local attractions, and distinctive regional experiences.
The initiative combines the area’s dramatic natural landscapes with its high-altitude wine industry, creating a cultural tourism experience designed to raise the international profile of China’s premium wine-producing regions.
Showcasing Chinese Wines On The Global Stage
Wynn’s upcoming international engagements will further extend the reach of the award-winning wines.
From October 12 to 16, Wynn will participate in the 47th World Congress of Vine and Wine and the General Assembly of the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV) in Yinchuan, Ningxia. Founded in 1924, the OIV is a leading intergovernmental organization dedicated to the vine and wine sector. The gathering marks the first time the event is being held in China and Asia, providing an opportunity to showcase the diversity and quality of the country’s wine regions to international experts, buyers, and media.
From October 22 to 24, Wynn will serve as Strategic Wine Partner at the Tatler Best Awards Asia-Pacific 2026 in Shanghai. Through a series of events, including a welcome reception, celebratory party, and chef collaboration dinners, Wynn will present Chinese wines to approximately 700 guests. Attendees are expected to include hospitality executives, restaurateurs, members of the Tatler community, media representatives, and key opinion leaders from 25 cities across the Asia-Pacific and the Middle East.
Through its competition, dining collaborations, and international partnerships, Wynn continues to build connections between Chinese winemakers and global audiences. With the 2027 Judging Week moving to Beijing and the Awards Ceremony returning to Macao, the next edition aims to further strengthen the international recognition of China’s wine industry while connecting its wines with the country’s distinctive culinary and cultural heritage.
